Hauspot Terms of Use
Draft. Hauspot is in testing. Fields in square brackets will be completed before launch. This text needs a lawyer's review before publication.
§1. Definitions
- Operator - [operator name], [address], [tax / company register number], who runs Hauspot.
- Hauspot - the service in which dog owners find pet-friendly places: the mobile app and the website.
- User - anyone who uses the Hauspot app, with or without an Account.
- Account - a User's account in the Hauspot app.
- Venue - a place described in Hauspot, such as a café or a restaurant.
- Review - a rating of a Venue from 1 to 5, with or without a comment.
- Favourites - the list of Venues a User saves in their Account.
- Venue Owner - a business that runs a Venue and describes it in the Business Panel.
- Business Terms - the terms on which Venue Owners use the Business Panel.
- Privacy Policy - the document describing how the Operator processes personal data.
§2. General provisions
- These Terms set out the rules for using the Hauspot app.
- Using the app is free of charge.
- Using the app requires a device running [Android / iOS version …] and internet access.
- Users may not supply unlawful content through the app.
- These Terms are available free of charge on the Hauspot website and in the app, including before an Account is created.

§3. Using the app without an Account
- The map, the list of Venues, Venue profiles and Reviews are available without an Account.
- Using the app without an Account is governed by these Terms, except for the provisions about Accounts.
§4. Account
- An Account can be created with an email address and a password, or by signing in with Google or Apple.
- Creating an Account requires accepting these Terms and confirming that the Privacy Policy has been read.
- When the Account is created, the User and the Operator enter into an agreement for keeping the Account, for an indefinite period.
- Each person may have one Account.
- An Account may be created by a person aged [minimum age - to be decided] or over.
- The User keeps their Account's sign-in details confidential.
§5. Deleting the Account
- The User may delete their Account at any time in the Account tab of the app.
- Deleting the Account is immediate and irreversible.
- The User's Reviews remain in Hauspot without their name, as "Deleted user".
- Deleting the Account terminates the agreement for keeping the Account.
§6. Reviews
- Only a User with an Account may add a Review.
- A User may add one Review of a given Venue.
- A Review consists of a rating from 1 to 5 and an optional comment.
- A Review describes the User's own experience of the Venue.
- A Review may not contain offensive, unlawful or promotional content, or other people's personal data.
- The author may edit or delete their Review at any time.
- By adding a Review, the author grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it in Hauspot [scope and duration of the licence - to be confirmed by a lawyer]. The licence continues after the Account is deleted.
§7. Moderation of Reviews
- The Operator may hide a Review that breaches these Terms, and gives the author the reason.
- The author can still see their hidden Review.
- A hidden Review does not count towards the Venue's rating.
- Objections to a hidden Review can be sent to kontakt@hauspot.pl.
§8. Information about Venues
- Venue information is supplied by Venue Owners or by the Operator.
- Before a Venue is published, the Operator checks what the Venue offers to pets.
- Opening hours, prices and menus may change. The Operator does not guarantee they are up to date.
- Whether a pet is admitted is the Venue's decision.
- The Operator is not a party to the relationship between a User and a Venue.
§9. Favourites
- Favourites are visible only to the User who saved them.
- Favourites are deleted together with the Account.
§10. Liability
- The Operator is liable to the User within the limits set by law.
- Hauspot is in testing. The app may be unavailable at times, in particular during technical work.

- Nothing in these Terms limits the User's rights as a consumer.
§11. Complaints
- Complaints about the app can be sent to kontakt@hauspot.pl.
- A complaint should describe the problem and give the Account's email address, if it concerns an Account.
- The Operator replies to a complaint within [14] days.

§12. Personal data
The rules for processing personal data are set out in the Privacy Policy.
§13. Changes to these Terms
- Every change to these Terms is a new version with the date it takes effect.
- Earlier versions of these Terms remain available on the Hauspot website.
- The Operator announces a material change in advance [at least … days].
- After a material change, the app asks for the new version to be accepted. Until it is, Reviews and Favourites cannot be added.
- A User who does not accept the changes may delete their Account.
§14. Final provisions
- These Terms are governed by Polish law.
